Here we are arriving in Nice on our tandem, having crossed France from Normandy, to celebrate my 60th. My 59 year old wife is the stoker. It was a fantastic experience but I was glad not to be cycling the next day. We raised over £18,000 for the National Hospital Development Foundation, by the way. Next year, we will cycle up the Rhone and across to Alsace.
This photo was taken by a 80 year old Parisian who had frequently cycled from Paris down to Nice and many other destinations. The ‘King of the Mountains’ Tour de France cycle top raised many cheers as we passed - Michael Powell (via email)
