I am 71 coming on 72 in June and this is why I love my Bike as I can ride on these Welsh side roads without coming to too much harm. At school I cycled in every day and have also ridden across England and Wales to what is now my home from Cambdridge. I used to live in Bedford and rode this one there to the shops, church, doctors etc. A lot of places there are linked by cycleways so it was quite easy and safe. Now I am retired it gives me exercise, controls my weight and and keeps my Type 2 Diabetes under control.

A lovely obstruction on the footpath today while I was cycling near Snape in Suffolk :-) They ambled after me as I cycled across the field but they weren’t aggressive…

I love my bikes so so much, my life would be utter drivel without them, even if they do break at times! (Michael via email)

I love my bike because I can travel into town (Worcester) whizzing past the traffic jams and park almost anywhere I like. We need more bike stands in Worcester (Gerry via email)

This is a photo of me celebrating my 40th at the top of Alpe d’Huez.  My bikes take me every where!  the daily commute is my haven for fitness and thinking, while weekends I tie in with friends to tour round the Devon landscape, or ride local sportives.  When cycling you join a wonderful community of people bound by the love of the most independent, liberating and life renewing lifestyle (Adrian via email)
